Scholarships

The Elizabeth Stampede Foundation is proud to award scholarships to individuals attending college.

The Board of Directors evaluates applications based on academic achievement and community service. Scholarship awards are sent directly to the educational institution after verifying enrollment.

Application Criteria and Process

Applicants must submit a 500-word statement addressing the specific needs that the scholarship funds will help address and explaining how the scholarship will benefit the community, institution, or individual. The deadline to apply is June 30, and applications can be completed digitally here on our site or mailed to the Elizabeth Stampede Foundation, PO Box 642, Elizabeth, CO 80107.

Scholarships are awarded without regard to race, creed, ethnic background, religion, or gender. The Foundation considers requests to assist educational institutions, support civic projects that benefit our community or surrounding communities and help individuals in need due to personal tragedy or financial hardship. The Board of Directors bases its decisions on how closely the purpose of each scholarship aligns with the mission and goals of the Foundation.

If you receive a scholarship, you must use the funds for the stated purpose and submit quarterly reports to the Foundation detailing how the funds are being used, along with an accounting of expenditures. At the end of the project or after the final use of the funds, a final report must be submitted to the Board of Directors. The Board has the authority to request audits or additional information about the use of the funds.

Letter of Recommendation

Applicants are required to obtain a letter of recommendation as a part of the application process. Letters can be submitted in one of the following ways:
