Eliza Fletcher
“Eliza Fletcher’s dedication to the Elizabeth Stampede Rodeo is truly inspiring. As a young woman of just 18, she stepped into the critical role of Hospitality Chair with a level of commitment and leadership that has made a significant impact.
Eliza didn’t just fulfill her duties; she went above and beyond, donating extra time to facilities on work days in preparation for the Stampede. During rodeo weekend, her tireless efforts ensured everyone was well-fed, hydrated, and caffeinated. Her dedication was so intense that she literally ran herself into the ground, being found passed out in the hospitality trailer Sunday night after teardown.
Understanding the importance of her role to the rodeo and the cowboys who rely on the hospitality tent as a place to rest and get a good meal, Eliza rose to the challenge. She not only pulled the team together and expanded it but also led by example, showing up for weeks on end before the rodeo. Her well-thought-out plan and execution during the event were nothing short of impressive, resulting in hundreds of meals served seamlessly as if the team had worked together for years.
Eliza’s organization, kindness, and grace shone through as she managed the hospitality tent and kitchen. Her solid leadership and pre-rodeo food prep efforts made the committee’s activities flow better than ever. Observing her growth and confidence during this process was a pleasure, as she spent typical 16-hour days ensuring that all the cowboys, stock contractors, volunteers, and sponsors were well-fed and cared for, always with a smile.
Eliza Fletcher exemplifies the spirit of the rodeo: carrying on through hard times, demonstrating grit in the face of adversity, and showing strength when things get tough. Her name is synonymous with the Elizabeth Stampede Rodeo, symbolizing the life, liberty, and rodeo spirit. Let’s recognize this rodeo champion who works tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the success of the Elizabeth Stampede Rodeo.”

“Kayla stepped up into a huge role this year and totally excelled at it. I watched her work diligently on every aspect of her position for months leading up to it. Kayla treats everyone with the upmost respect and tries so hard to get everyone in the positions they want and will excel in. Ralph Janitell
“Ralph made time to meet with every committee and attend most of their meetings. He negotiated with every security provider group and police agency. We could not have had a better result in security, organization, and management without his personal commitment to the entire Stampede organization. He further took the time to personally meet with all the providers of emergency management both internal and external agencies and representatives. As a first-time Chair, he embraced all of the aspects of his committee. He responded to every request, whether planned or last-minute. His interaction with others was always professional and with an intense purpose to resolve any issues. He took Security to the next level for the entire Rodeo and Concert.”

“This was Sara’s first year as a volunteer and we got to enjoy her in hospitality. She was a trooper and a great bacon cook. She stood outside in the heat cooking bacon for 3 hours. By the end of breakfast, her shoes were off. I loved getting to know her and making a new friend. ”
