PRCA Rodeo

There are many events held over the Stampede weekend:

Friday · 7pm
Xtreme Bulls Tour

All Bulls, All Night!
This night is all about showcasing the Professional Rodeo Cowboy’s top bull riders and some of the rankest bulls in a contest that brings our fans to their feet! It is one of our most popular performances, and we have hosted many world champions who love to compete in this arena. Only a handful of the hundreds of PRCA rodeos qualify to host an Xtreme Bulls competition and we are thrilled to be one of them.

Watch this premier high-energy event live at the Elizabeth Stampede Rodeo on Friday night. Eight seconds is all it takes to get on the scoreboard but it’s definitely not as easy as it sounds! The score is determined by judges who evaluate each the rider and the bull for a score of up to 50 points, with a maximum of 100. At the end of the rodeo season, the top riders compete for the XTREME BULLS tour championship.

This night is also a celebration of our local First Responders as we honor their contributions to our community.

Tough Enough to Wear Pink PRCA Rodeo
Presented by Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers

It’s Tough Enough To Wear Pink Day!  Are you “tough enough?” We are! We are honored to combine the sport of rodeo with our community support in the Tough Enough to Wear Pink campaign. We invite you to wear your PINK and cheer for your favorite contestants in Bareback Riding, Steer Wrestling, Team Roping, Mutton Bustin, Saddle Bronc Riding, Tie-down Roping, Barrel Racing, Women’s Breakaway Roping, and Bull Riding.

Family Pack tickets include admission for two adults and two children.   Enforced at the door.  Please enter together.  You will have to select 4 tickets to purchase.

The Tough Enough to Wear Pink campaign is a national one; it was created by entrepreneur and breast cancer survivor Terry Wheatley in 2004 with Karl Stressman, former director of special events for Wrangler and former commissioner of the Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association (PCRA) to bring the sport of professional rodeo and the western community together to rally against breast cancer.  Our own Elizabeth Stampede Foundation hosts many events each year in support of this cause.

Saturday · 7pm
PRCA Rodeo
Presented by Lennar Homes

Our roots run deep and we owe it all to Colorado Agriculture. The Elizabeth Stampede proudly presents our appreciation of our farmers and ranchers with Colorado Ag Night. Join us for our celebration of tradition and the western way of life as we cheer on Bareback Riding, Steer Wrestling, Team Roping, Mutton Bustin, Saddle Bronc Riding, Tie-down Roping, Barrel Racing, Breakaway Roping, and Bull Riding contestants in their race against the clock.

Each performance lasts about two hours and includes these exciting events: Bareback Riding · Steer Wrestling · Team Roping · Mutton Bustin’ · Saddle Bronc Riding · Tie-down Roping · Barrel Racing · Bull Riding.

Sunday · 8am
Slack Performance · Free Admission

Elizabeth Stampede Rodeo is popular with contestants and that means we need additional time for all the timed event contestants (barrel racing, team roping, steer wrestling and tie down roping) to get in their allotted runs. Sunday morning is “slack time” when nothing else is scheduled in the arena. The results of slack performances count just like any other PRCA performance. Admission is free but they have all the excitement of any rodeo contest. For example, in 2015, barrel racer Meghan Johnson set an arena record during her Sunday morning slack run.

Sunday · 2pm
Red White & Blue PRCA Rodeo
Presented by Potestio Brothers Equipment

Join us on Sunday for our time-honored tradition with this family event. Every year, Elizabeth Stampede's Sunday performance is the Red, White and Blue Rodeo and Military appreciation day. This rodeo performance includes special patriotic acts and a ceremony honoring veterans, and those currently serving in any branch of service. We are proud to support and honor our veterans.

For this rodeo, we are proud to offer discounted ticket prices (half price) for active duty, retired, or veteran personnel with valid ID. Must purchase at the box office. The rodeo includes the fast-paced and energetic competition in Bareback Riding, Steer Wrestling, Team Roping, Mutton Bustin, Saddle Bronc Riding, Tie-down Roping, Barrel Racing, Breakaway Roping, and Bull Riding. Family pack tickets are available.

At this performance, we also honor our veterans who have served with honor and we hold a special ceremony for this year’s honorees. For more information or to nominate a veteran, contact us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
