PRCA Rodeo

There are many events held over the Stampede weekend:

Friday · 7pm
Xtreme Bulls Tour

All Bulls, All Night! Bull riding has its roots in the 16th century but its popularity has soared in the last 20 years. Cowboys match their riding skills, intuition, and courage against animal atheletes weighing 15 times more than they do. Eight seconds is all it takes to get on the scoreboard. But that’s not all. The score is determined by judges who evaluate the both the rider and the bull. At the end of the rodeo season, the top riders compete for the tour championship.

Only a handful of the hundreds of PRCA rodeos qualify to host an Xtreme Bulls competition. Watch this premier high-energy event live at the Elizabeth Stampede Rodeo on Friday night..

Saturday · 2pm

Each performance lasts about two hours and includes these exciting events: Bareback Riding · Steer Wrestling · Team Roping · Mutton Bustin’ · Saddle Bronc Riding · Tie-down Roping · Barrel Racing · Bull Riding.

Saturday · 7pm
PRCA Rodeo

Each performance lasts about two hours and includes these exciting events: Bareback Riding · Steer Wrestling · Team Roping · Mutton Bustin’ · Saddle Bronc Riding · Tie-down Roping · Barrel Racing · Bull Riding.

Sunday · 8am
Slack Performance · Free Admission

Elizabeth Stampede Rodeo is popular with contestants and that means we need additional time for all the timed event contestants (barrel racing, team roping, steer wrestling and tie down roping) to get in their allotted runs. Sunday morning is “slack time” when nothing else is scheduled in the arena. The results of slack performances count just like any other PRCA performance. Admission is free but they have all the excitement of any rodeo contest. For example, in 2015, barrel racer Meghan Johnson set an arena record during her Sunday morning slack run.

Sunday · 2pm
Red White & Blue PRCA Rodeo

Every year, Elizabeth Stampede’s Sunday performance is the Red White and Blue Rodeo. With a military ID, current service members can attend this performance for half-price. The Rodeo includes a ceremony honoring veterans who served in any conflict and in any branch of service. Subscribe to our email list and watch for the announcement calling for nominations.
