Elizabeth Stampede
Let's Rodeo!!
Day Sheets for 2023 Elizabeth Stampede!!
The first weekend in June is an exciting time to be in Elizabeth Colorado. The crisp air in the pines and beautiful sunsets provide the backdrop for one of the first and most exciting PRCA rodeos of the season. From an opening concert right on the arena floor to the excitement of the Xtreme Bulls and the military celebration of the Red, White, and Blue Rodeo, we have something for everyone. The Parade on Saturday morning brings the town together to celebrate a heritage rich in the Western Way of Life and a sense of community.
The Elizabeth Stampede Rodeo – a truly authentic experience – it’s a great way to kick off the summer!
Thee Elizabeth Stampede has won numerous awards, including:
- 2011, 2012, and 2013 PRCA Small Rodeo of the Year
- 16 Time Mountain States Circuit Rodeo of the Year; most recently 2022
- 2013 Women's Professional Rodeo (WPRA) Small Rodeo of the Year
- 2022 WPRA and Justin Best Footing Award
The heritage continues: The Elizabeth Commercial Association started putting on amateur rodeos at Casey Jones Park in 1937 and the first annual Elizabeth Stampede Rodeo was held at the end of May 1966. As a PRCA sanctioned rodeo since 1988, the Elizabeth Stampede has established itself as one of the best regional rodeos with the Mountain States Circuit. In 2021, after the pandemic challenged the viability of public events including our rodeo, we created a slogan to unite our volunteers and remind us why we must overcome any
odds to continue to celebrate our way of life, and “Life. Liberty. Rodeo TM ” was born.
How to get involved: Want to volunteer? Check out our Volunteer page and get started today! Want to support our rodeo and the western way of life? See our Sponsorship page.
