The first weekend in June is an exciting time to be in Elizabeth Colorado. The crisp air in the pines and beautiful sunsets provide the backdrop for one of the first PRCA rodeos of the season. From an opening concert right on the arena floor to the excitement of the Xtreme Bulls and the military celebration of the Red, White, and Blue Rodeo, we have something for everyone. The Parade on Saturday morning brings the town together to celebrate a heritage rich in the Western Way of Life and a sense of community.

The Elizabeth Stampede Rodeo – a truly authentic experience – it’s a great way to kick off the summer!

The Elizabeth Stampede has won numerous awards, including:

  • 2011, 2012, and 2013 PRCA Small Rodeo of the Year
  • Mountain States Circuit Rodeo of the Year 15 times, including 2017
  • Voted Women's Professional Rodeo (WPRA) Small Rodeo of the Year in 2013

The Elizabeth Commercial Association started putting on amateur rodeos at Casey Jones Park in 1937 and the first annual Elizabeth Stampede Rodeo was held at the end of May 1966.  As a PRCA sanctioned rodeo since 1987, the Elizabeth Stampede has established itself as one of the best regional rodeos with the Mountain States Circuit.
